What to assess

• Fit with the journal and a clearly stated research question.
• Original contribution and engagement with existing scholarship.
• Research design, evidence, analysis and reproducibility where relevant.
• Whether conclusions follow from the evidence and limitations are acknowledged.
• Ethics, participant protection and responsible data reporting.

Give specific, constructive reasons. Keep the manuscript confidential and do not upload it to external generative AI services.
