Author Guidelines
Preparing your submission
Submit an editable manuscript through the journal's OJS submission system. Indicate the requested article type on the separate title page and follow its word limit below; the editorial office will assign the appropriate review route. Use clear English, an English title and abstract, and four to six keywords. Include a concise abstract stating the purpose, approach, principal findings and contribution; book reviews may omit an abstract.
Upload a separate title page with the title, author names, affiliations, correspondence details, ORCID identifiers where available, contribution statement, funding, competing interests and acknowledgements. Supply an anonymous main manuscript without names, identifying acknowledgements or document properties. Cite your previous work in the third person and avoid unnecessary identifying details. Explain any essential identifying material privately to the editor.
Structure and presentation
Research manuscripts should explain their question, relevant literature, approach, evidence, findings, discussion and limitations. Use headings appropriate to the method and article type. Number tables and figures, give informative captions and cite each in the text. Supply readable images and editable tables. Define abbreviations and provide source and permission information for reused material.
Use APA 7th edition author-date citations and reference formatting. Every in-text citation must have a matching reference and every listed reference must be cited. Provide DOI links where available. Verify bibliographic details against the original source; do not include invented or unverified references.
Research and publication statements
Include ethics approval and consent information where applicable; funding and funder involvement; competing interests; author contributions; data availability; and disclosure of substantive generative AI use. Data may be restricted to protect participants or community rights; explain the reason and any suitable access procedure. Ensure that every author approves submission and that the work is not being considered by another journal.
Licence, publication and charges
Authors retain copyright. Published articles are licensed under CC BY 4.0, permitting sharing and adaptation with attribution. Authors must have authority to grant this licence; clearly identify third-party material subject to separate permissions.
The journal publishes twice yearly, in January and July, with the inaugural issue planned for January 2027. Initial submissions received through 31 December 2026 are exempt from the article processing charge, including when a revision or acceptance occurs later. For initial submissions from 1 January 2027, the charge is USD 150 per accepted article, payable after acceptance. No submission fee is charged and no payment is required for review or rejection. A withdrawn manuscript submitted as a new submission receives its new initial submission date.
