Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern
Material errors in published articles are corrected through a linked notice. Retractions are used when findings are unreliable, publication is redundant, or serious ethical breaches invalidate the record. An expression of concern may be issued while a significant investigation remains unresolved.
Notices identify the reason and remain linked to the article.
